Lencha

This is Lorenza (aka Lencha, or Carmen), the youngest of the Sánchez  brood. After many years of searching, I was finally able to find her baptismal certificate! Lencha used to say she was born in El Paso, but my grandmother (Lupe) always said she was born in Juarez. My grandmother was correct. I can’t however, find her death certificate, even though she died in Nebraska in 1987. I did find her grave, but she doesn’t have a marker.

Lencha had 10 children: Lorraine, Jose, Lino, Vita, Anthony, Jackie, Rebecca & Christine (twins), Eleanor and George. She has many grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
